Pizza Truck
Challenge:
Create a boots-on-the-ground experiential activation that facilitates customer interaction while adding value to existing partnerships with our retails clients.
How:
The Colavita pizza truck - a modified sprinter van, super-charged with extra-strength shocks and suspension to support a real, wood-fired pizza oven and commercial kitchen equipment.
In conjunction with in-store promotions, the Coalvita Pizza Truck fires up fresh, Neapolitan style pizza using Colavita products like olive oil, tomatoes, pizza sauce, pesto and veggies. We link the sampling to day-of product sales by distributing coupons for Colavita products, and supplementing with in-store displays, custom pizza recipes, and giveaways.
The truck’s touring schedule has spanned the country, including a list of over 20 locations at both Publix and Kroger supermarkets. It opened the door for more Colavita SKU listings in retail locations and enabled Colavita to fine-tune truck samplings for application at charity and endurance events, most notably the Publix A1A marathon and the Food and Finance High School.
